Post-Christmas Afterglow...

Ew.  Dirty.

So I realise something on this, the day after Christmas.  You know, I'll probably never get what I want.  But you know what?  I can (and should) be totally content with what I have.

That's a pretty tough one for an only child (especially one who got everything that he ever wanted, with the exception of the Lego Futron Monarail System, not that I'm still bitter or anything).  And I realise that it's still ok to want what I want, I just can't get upset, or beat myself up, if I never get it.

So there.  My Christmas lesson.  God bless us, everyone.

Being a child with many siblings who grew up poor, I learned to tailor what I wanted to what was realistic, or vague enough to be easily accomplished. To be honest, I could care less what I get now, although the Lego Monorail thing has gotta be pretty cool.

Re: kim

Nah, I get a 'direct image links not supported' thingy. No matter, the name sounds cool enough to have been quite unaffordable.
